Nala Earth has secured €3.8M in funding through a round led by European venture capital firm IRIS, with participation from KOMPAS VC and existing investors Pale blue dot and Founderful. With the new funds, Nala Earth aims to enhance its platform's capabilities, enabling new use cases for corporate nature and biodiversity management. The funding will also drive recruitment efforts to scale operations and accelerate product development.

2025 will see the initial release of CSRD reports, continued growth in TNFD adoption and SBTN and nature targets, the continuation of Biodiversity COP16 in February, and consensus on nature metrics led by the Nature Positive Initiative

Volkswagen is embedding biodiversity into its sustainability strategy with a vision for “zero impact factories.” In partnership with Nala Earth, they assessed the state of nature across all production sites and piloted a methodology to identify Nature Hotspots - locations where restoration and impact mitigation are most critical due to local ecological conditions and Volkswagen’s environmental footprint.
